Rosemary Dunn Moeller has had poetry published in  Whitefish Review,The Upstart
Crow, Vermillion Literary Project, Plainsongs, Feile-Festa, Avocet and others. She received
first prize in The WyoPoets Award and the Black Hills Poetry Competition.
She farms/ranches with her husband, travels and writes. Writing connects to the
present to slow time flow to a reflective pace for her.

Melissa Leija grew up on a ranch in southern Idaho. She received her Bachelor of
Science in Food Science and was a graduate research assistant at the University of
Idaho. She continues to pursue her many interests.

Judy Grigg Hansen loves people, words, and the mountains, canyons, and deserts of
Idaho. Hansen teaches English at the College of Southern Idaho and writes poetry
and nonfiction. Her work has appeared in The Idaho Statesman, Idaho Magazine, Time
Magazine, The Ensign and other publications.

Heath Kemper is an English and Liberal Arts graduate from the College of Southern
Idaho. He has lived in Twin Falls since 2009, when he moved from western Oregon
with his wife. He currently works as a video and media producer.

Sharon Hart Strickland has been writing throughout her adult life, while also
making a living and raising a family with her husband, Rick. In addition to several
college writing courses, she honed her natural writing skills over many years of
professional writing as an administrative assistant, office manager and certified
paralegal. She has won several awards through the annual Idaho Writers’ League
writing contest. Her first novel, The Third Step, was published in November 2013.

Betti Carol Taylor is a writer, and scholar working with 20th century American
history. She holds a History Master’s from the University of South Dakota and retired
from the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, DC. She has taught
English Composition at the College of Southern Idaho since 2006 and lives in Buhl.

Loyd T. Bakewell writes to make a difference in someone’s life. He believes when
we care, we inspire others to care. His essays, articles, and short stories provide
emotionally engaging, uplifting, humorous, and practical information for his readers.
His work has been published in newspapers, magazines, and anthologies. He is the
winner of the George Washington Medal of Honor from Freedom Foundation in
Valley Forge, Pa. for his essay, “What Can I Do for Freedom?”

Dave Van Epps, the son of long-time Hagerman residents, shares his parents’ love
of the beauty of the American West. Formerly a real estate executive, he returned to
his early love of writing after being felled by a stroke in 2007. His essay collection, My
Stroke of the Pen, includes the story of his recovery. He is working on a second
collection, tentatively titled Convergences. He lives in Littleton, Colorado

Rebecca Noel—as a confessional poet, most of her poems are autobiographical and
grounded in concrete. A native Oregonian, with deep roots in Las Vegas, she now
resides in Rock Springs, Wyoming, with her husband and two spoiled cats. She
attends Western Wyoming Community College.



Silo is seeking works of creative writing including poetry, short fiction, personal
essays, and creative non-fiction. If you are writing and looking for a place to publish,
please send us your work. We are currently accepting submissions for our August
2015 issue. You may send fiction, creative non-fiction, and/or essays of no more than
five thousand words and/or up to five poems. The submission deadline is January 31,
2015.
