Angela Batchelor grew up in Twin Falls, earning an Associate of Arts at CSI and then transferred to Boise State University where she graduated with a BFA and MFA in Studio Art. Batchelor spent eight years teaching for Portland Community College before returning to CSI as a member of the Art Faculty in 2017.

Now she teaches courses in Art History, Painting, Book Arts, Printmaking and Calligraphy.

Batchelor has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 20 years and has two sons, a lazy dog and a small flock of silly chickens. Between teaching and family life, she maintain a studio practice that currently focuses on book arts, calligraphy and printmaking. Her hobbies include hand embroidery, playing the banjo and reading historical non-fiction.
